Definition in State Rule
Deafblind means concomitantly deaf or hard of hearing and blind or visually impaired, the combination of which causes severe communication and other developmental and educational needs such that the individual disability-related needs of the student extend beyond the instruction and supports required for a student who is solely deaf or hard of hearing or blind or visually impaired.

Wisconsin Deafblind Technical Assistance Project
The Wisconsin Deafblind Technical Assistance Project (WDBTAP) is the state’s federally-funded technical assistance and dissemination project. WDBTAP is a resource to families, agencies, and schools supporting infants, children and youth ages birth to 21 with combined vision and hearing loss.
A statewide, parent-run organization working with families that supports students with mental health care needs.
