Supplemental Security Income pays benefits to an individual who has a disability that prevents them from working. These benefits are used for basic needs such as food, housing, and bills. The amount someone gets is based on financial need.
You must meet the 3 main qualifications to receive SSI:
Have few/low assets (things you own)
Earn low wages (the money you're paid for working)
