The Academy of Computer Science, Education, and Technical Services (CSETS)

We are an academy that specializes and focuses on computer science, education, construction, engineering and manufacturing.  We have four pathways within our academy: Engineering, Construction, Education, and Computer Science.  See a brief intro video of our learning in action here.

The engineering pathways includes Project Lead the Way classes that expose students to careers within the engineering field.  PLTW, a nationally recognized organization, offers students the opportunity to earn college credit upon successful completion of the end-of-course exam.

The construction pathway provides students the opportunity to learn about basic building materials, components, and methods.  Students are exposed to hand and power tools, project based application, and proper selection of materials.  Students have the opportunity to earn construction certifications and network with professionals in different trades.

The education pathway allows students to investigate careers in elementary, middle and high schools.  Students will explore teaching, administration, social work, counseling and other various educational careers that help students succeed in the school.  Coursework includes potential transferable credit and certifications.

The computer science pathway consists of Project Lead the Way classes that engage students in compelling, real-world challenges.  As students work together to design solutions, they learn computational thinking - not just how to code - and become better thinkers and communicators.  PLTW, a nationally recognized organization, teaches students in-demand skills that they can use throughout their lives.  Students are also able to earn college credits at select colleges and universities by doing well on the end-of-course exam.
