Planning Your School Year: The Curriculum Box and Beyond

Please join us as Mrs. Laura Mukerji presents this relevant topic. Mrs. Mukerji has been a teacher with the RVA for 8 years. She has a degree in Secondary English Education from Emporia State University. Mrs.Mukerji is a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society and the National Council of Teachers of English. In addition, she is a home mentor with the RVA providing her years of experience creating an engaging and thriving home learning environment. Her dual roles of teacher and home mentor give her a thorough understanding of curriculum options, development, and application for homeschool parents. She is the mom of three girls ages 8, 6, and 2 and the wife of, in her words, an awesome husband. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, the Avett Brothers Band, cooking, traveling and exploring new cultures. By attending, you will learn the following:

Mrs. Jenna Versch has been a teacher with the RVA for 4 years. Currently, she is a 7th grade Language Arts Teacher as well as the Middle School Student Services Coordinator. Mrs. Versch has 12 years of teaching experience and holds a Master's Degree in Educational Technology. She states that she has always had a passion for technology tools and integration. In addition, Mrs. Versch reportedly enjoys trying out new educational technology tools and engaging students to keep learning exciting. She and her husband Paul are the proud parents of three-year-old twins.

Technology Talk Part 2

Leigh Sisneros has been on staff with the RVA for 2 years as a high school English teacher and is also one of the Blended Learning Coordinators. Leigh has 14 years of teaching experience with 7 of those being in an online environment. She holds a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership, is a Google Certified Educator and has experience as a technology coach. Leigh considers her biggest technological breakthroughs to be the realization that “you can’t break it” and “there is no shame in asking.” Her interests include spending time outdoors and reading. Leigh lives on a hobby farm near Lake Michigan with her husband, two kids and a handful of animals. She reports owning a hobby farm keeps her grounded while teaching teenagers keeps her connected.
