Connecting communities and land managers to find common ground for outdoor recreation
Outdoor recreation is essential to our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. We work with communities and land managers to find proactive and inclusive strategies for connecting all people to the outdoors.
We believe that a sustainable future for outdoor recreation is built upon the collective desire of individuals and communities to find solutions for high-quality outdoor recreation experiences that respect wildlife, water, and the land. Using engagement, story-telling, visioning, and social science, we develop strategic approaches for creating sustainable outdoor recreation experiences and tangible actions to get there.

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We recognize the work we do takes place on lands that are historically and currently significant to indigenous people in the United States and seek to honor the traditions and values of the past, present, and future stewards of the land. Ruby Mountain Consulting focuses on barriers to participation, understanding the needs of underserved communities, and ensuring equitable and inclusive perspectives are incorporated into individual project planning and design.
