Students begin by learning the fundamentals of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM). They explore vector design, 2D graphics, and 3D modeling software to create precise digital blueprints. This stage builds technical literacy and creativity, enabling learners to visualize and prepare their ideas for fabrication.
This component introduces hands-on skills with FabLab equipment such as 3D printers, CNC milling machines, laser cutters, and vinyl cutters. Students learn both additive manufacturing (building objects layer by layer) and subtractive manufacturing (cutting or carving from solid materials). Through guided projects, they gain confidence in turning digital designs into physical prototypes.
Beyond technical skills, students apply digital fabrication to real-world problem-solving. Using design thinking, they identify local challenges, prototype solutions, and test their ideas. Projects range from awareness posters and personalized keychains to community-driven innovations. This stage nurtures creativity, collaboration, and a maker mindset that connects technology with social impact.
