LEARNING THROUGH PLAY
Our Curriculum supports a learning through play approach, particularly in our New Entrant classrooms. Research shows that learning through play enhances children’s academic and developmental learning outcomes and can also set children up for success in the 21st century by teaching them relevant skills.
We believe that allowing children the opportunity to ‘play’ helps them to engage with each other, negotiate, sort out disagreements and establish friendships. They imagine, explore and invent. It is through taking risks, discovering new ideas and putting these ideas into action that learning takes place.
