RADNOR READY: Phase 2: Hybrid

Elementary: Phase 2 Hybrid Schedule

The Phase 2 (AM/PM format) is scheduled in 2.5 hour sessions

AM Session: 9:10 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.

Cleaning Session between AM and PM: 11:40 – 1:10 p.m.

PM Session: 1:10 to 3:40 p.m.

Parents were informed of their child’s AM or PM placement when teacher placement letters were sent via email the week of August 3. If you need clarification, please reach out to the main office of your child’s school.

The AM/PM format will include a high concentration of English-Language Arts and Mathematics instruction during the in-person sessions. With small AM/PM class size cohorts, teachers should be able to differentiate, personalize, and support student learning at a very high level. During the second half of the day, students will engage in remote Science and Social Studies content on the Schoology LMS and have a synchronous (live) Special via Zoom. Class sizes in the AM/PM format will not exceed 14 students and in most cases are under 10 per session.

The afternoon will not include synchronous instruction for science or social studies. Unfortunately, we do not have staff to provide live remote lessons during phase 2 when teachers are instructing the other half of the class in person. There is a 15 minute science and social studies segment built into the AM/PM in-person portion of the day that will provide teachers with an opportunity to review the content, engage students in experiments and investigations, and support the asynchronous work that done during the other half of the day. It is expected that that science and social studies asynchronous content will include videos and guided directions that are posted on our Schoology LMS.

Secondary: Phase 2 Hybrid Schedule

The RHS and RMS school day hours are the same as the 2019-20 school year: RHS (8:30 a.m.- 3:10 p.m.) and RMS (7:50 a.m.-2:40 p.m.). The updated building schedules for this school year were designed for use during both Phase 2 (Hybrid) and Phase 3 (Fully Virtual). Click here to view 2020-21 bell schedules.

  • Radnor High School will run on a 10-day rotation. Four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) will have a block schedule and one day (Wednesday) will be a traditional schedule. As in years past, the Cycle Day Calendar will be posted on Schoology monthly.

Right at School Childcare

Right at School will be offering AM, PM, and extended day care during Phase 2 at each elementary building. A separate communication and link to register will be shared through Right at School officials.

Right at School will operate separately from the classroom settings. By and large, the half day and extended day care will be situated in the elementary cafeterias and gymnasiums. These spaces will not be used by the student population during Phase 2.

Technology

ELEMENTARY
In Phase 2, students will need to bring their district device to and from school each day. Students will need their device during the AM or PM session that they are not in-person for asynchronous work and their live special time. More information Technology access and support can be found HERE.
