Self-screening includes parents conducting oral, axillary, and/or temporal temperature checks on their student(s) each day before school. See details under checklists below for temperature criteria.

If a student, staff member or visitor answers "YES" as specified in the self-screening survey and per the self-screening checklists below, that student, staff member, and/or visitor should not enter the district building and follow related protocols listed below.

In addition to the screening questions and parent-administered student temperature checks before school each day, nurses and staff members will conduct random temperature checks of students as they enter the school as well as possibly during different times throughout the school day. Random temperature checks are a layer of screening that may require students to visit the Nurse's Office.

The Chester County Department of Health has issued guidance for exclusion from and return to school. All students, with assistance from parents if needed, must review the following checklist and ensure none of the criteria are met prior to departing for a district school each morning.

Within the past 14 days, have you had "close contact" with any individual who has tested positive for Covid-19 or who is/was experiencing Covid-19 symptoms? ("Close contact": less than six feet for greater than 15 minutes regardless of face covering.) If yes, student should not report to school and follow related guidelines here.
