Monthly Calendar

In your child's “Take Home Folders” they have a monthly calendar that we use as a check in at the end of each day during "Pack Up". I meet with each student independently (which is usually pretty quick) and I ask them 4 questions to help them reflect on their day.

*Did you have safe hands?

*Did you listen and follow directions?

*Did you use kind words with teachers and friends? 

*Did you do your very best today?

If they answer yes to 4/4 or 3/4 they receive a sticker for the day to celebrate their hard work! If they answer yes to 2/4 or less, or if I feel it was a harder day for them, they do not earn a sticker. If a sticker is not earned, I will write a little note on that day for parents letting them know why to keep you informed. I also use this as a "Check In" the next morning to help them set goals for themselves and to work even harder!
