Placement in the program begins with a pre-assessment (CASAS®) and registration. Our Director will work with you to create the best schedule and determine credit needs. Independent Studies are available for added flexibility. Don’t wait to pursue your goals — take the first step toward a brighter future. 

MSRACE offers a flexible HiSET® program designed to fit your busy life. Our instructors provide individualized support, helping you prepare at your own pace with a personalized learning plan. Classes meet Monday and Wednesday evenings.

HiSET® Details: 

To pass and earn your HiSET® credential, all subject tests must be passed individually. The HiSET® consists of five(5) subject tests: Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. Additionally, all five subject test scores must add up to a required composite score (45) to meet full completion requirements. 

All tests are multiple-choice with the exception of the Writing test, which also includes an essay prompt. Testing accommodations may be available for individuals with documented disabilities.

How to Register

Most of our programs are free to all Maine residents, 17 and older, who are no longer enrolled in school. If you are 16, speak to your guidance counselor for a referral.
