We send our semester program catalog to Alna, Chelsea, Friendship, Palermo, Union, Waldoboro, Washington, Warren, Westport Island, Whitefield, and Windsor. We do not mail individual catalogs to residents outside of this region. If you would like a copy of the catalog, you may print out a PDF copy below or stop by the office to pick one up. Call ahead to ensure we have one ready for you.

Course Communication
All course communication is sent by email. This includes:
Registration confirmations
Class reminders and updates
Schedule or location changes
Class cancellations
Instructor communications and materials
Instructors may also contact learners directly with course-specific information.
Important Email Requirement
An email address is required for online registration. If you do not provide an email address, you must contact our office directly to register. By choosing not to provide an email address, you acknowledge that you may not receive important course updates or communications from our office.
Staying Informed
Please check your email regularly throughout the semester to ensure you receive timely updates and announcements.
Weather & Emergency Closures
If either RSU 40 or RSU 12 schools are canceled or released early due to inclement weather, Adult Education classes in that district will also be canceled.
If weather conditions worsen later in the day, a decision regarding evening classes will be made by 3:00 PM.

Make-Up Classes
If a class is canceled due to weather or instructor illness, the instructor will contact learners regarding any make-up arrangements.

Wait List Policy
If a class is full, you may request to be added to the wait list.
Wait List Procedures
Wait lists are managed on a first-come, first-served basis
Openings are filled in the order learners are added to the wait list
You will be contacted if a seat becomes available
Please do not attend class unless you have received confirmation from our office
General Policies
Age Policy
The minimum age for Adult Education enrichment courses is 18 years old, unless otherwise stated in the course description.
Registration Policy
Registration is required for all courses.
Because class sizes are limited:
Enrollment is handled on a first-come, first-served basis
Early registration is encouraged
We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment (participants will be refunded).
Course Changes
Course schedules, locations, instructors, formats, and pricing may change due to:
Enrollment levels
Weather conditions
Instructor availability
Other unforeseen circumstances
Participants will be notified of changes as soon as possible.
Materials & Supply Fees
Some courses require additional supplies or materials.
When applicable:
Fees and required materials will be listed in the course description
Supply fees are payable directly to the instructor at the beginning of class
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Full Refunds
A full refund will be issued if:
A course is canceled by Adult
Education
You cancel your registration at least 7 days before the class start date
Partial Refunds
Cancellations made 1-–2 days before the class start date are eligible for a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 3–6 days before the class start date are eligible for a refund minus a 5% cancellation fee.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued:
Within 24 hours of the class start time
After a course has begun
Refund Processing
Please allow 2–4 weeks for refund processing.Refunds are issued back to the original payment method used during registration or may be reserved for a credit for future classes.
Code of Conduct
We are committed to creating welcoming, respectful, and inclusive learning environments for all participants. Disruptive, unsafe, threatening, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from a course without a refund.
Website Updates & Catalog Changes
We strive to provide accurate and current information in both our printed catalog and on our website. However, changes may occur after publication due to unforeseen circumstances.

We reserve the right to make changes as needed and to determine whether refunds will be issued in such cases.
