Students in grades 9-12 receive direct or consultation gifted and talented services. Individual plans are revised annually through collaboration with the gifted specialist, teachers, guardians, and the student.
Students receive coaching and support, such as:
developing pathways for MHS courses for accelerated, advanced, and honors levels based on student academic needs.
exploring areas of interest beyond the MHS curriculum through independent studies, online courses, extended learning opportunities, dual enrollment, CTE programs, and internships.
1:1 problem solving when issues arise related to educational needs and social-emotional needs.
The gifted specialist consults and collaborates with classroom teachers to support differentiation for gifted students. To address immediate and emerging needs, the gifted specialist is in frequent communication with parents, teachers, school counselors, and social workers.
