I LOVE MUSIC AND REVIEWING IT
By Teezo Touchdown
This is Teezo Touchdown's first album. This album was long awaited from his features on Tyler The Creators 2021 album Call Me If You Get Lost and Lil Yatchys recent album Let's Start Here and Travis Scott's most recent album Utopia. Teezo features on these Albums were very critically acclaimed because due to its distorted lyrics.
OK 7/10
This song has great guitar and his vocals are Amazing, this is a very good Intro to this experimental album. The First verse lyrics are very corny to me. I say that is what brings down the song the most.
You thought 7/10
The poppy vocals from Teez along with the aggressive poppy drums and the bass are a very good mixture. In the second part of the song with the more soothing beat and the feature from Janelle Monae the vocals from both are very impressive. Especially when Teez hits a very high note.
UUHH 9/10
This song also has an aggressive tone at the beginning of this song. The drums are not as aggressive but still very prominent, the bass line is very aggressive but it still sounds good. Teez can switch between almost heavenly vocals to very grunge-like vocals almost instantly in this song so I find that to be super impressive.
Sweet 10/10
This first part is super corny but that makes the song better and makes me want to break down in tears and sing along with Teez. Foushee as a feature on this beat works super well and she just flies on this type of song.
Impossible 9.5/10
This song is a very motivational song I'm assuming from Teezo trying to tell people to not give up on their dreams and do what they want because he was able to do it. Teez just has an amazing voice and this amazing song is trying to motivate people to do what they want and not give up on their dreams.
Neighborhood 6/10
This song has very good storytelling but it's a pretty average track and nothing special compared to the rest of the tracks on this album for the most part.
Mood swings 6.5
In my opinion, this song has an amazing feel to it but he ruins this song with the obnoxious almost unlistenable line “If it's not one thing it's a two things WEEEEEEEE another mode swing” This line makes me want to turn off this song. The rest of this song is amazing with lots of high points but that one line is horrible. Teez somehow got this song to be in a Taco Bell ad which is very impressive.
Too Easy 9/10
This song for the first two minutes is just Teezo and Isaiah Rusk taking turns saying Too Easy while yelling. The second part of this song when it switches to Teez singing is amazing and heavenly. The best vocals and lines I have probably ever heard. This song is a very interesting style of song and very different from a lot of songs. I don't even know what genre I would consider it.
Familitary 6.5/10
Nothing too impressive about this song.
I Don’t Think U C Me 8.5/10
Isaiah Rusk is amazing and I wish he had actual music and wasn't just a feature on this album.
Daddy Mama Drama 9.5/10
I enjoy this song quite a bit, this is very different from what Teez was doing for the rest of the album.
Nu Nay 10/10
This is a very fun track and should make people want to get up and groove. People often hate this track because of the line “party pooper don't forget to wipe” I think it's a fun track and that fits it well.
Stranger 6.5/10
The guitar is very interesting and fits this song well and I enjoy it a lot. Teez sings again in the second half and it's still amazing. Most of this song is different.
The Original was better 6.5/10
This song would be so much better if it didn't switch to the worst type of EDM in the middle of the song. The vocals and lyrics on this song are still a good song even with the horrible EDM.
The Ruler of Everything
The song has interesting vocals. The beginning of the song is almost eerie. This song then switches up out of nowhere and becomes the happiest song ever as it seems but this song is actually about the world ending and false confidence. They seem to be talking about how good this person is. The song abruptly changes up to a drum set and a very nice bass line. The vocals are also very distorted. The song then switches back to the normal beat and you can now tell he is freaking out almost like he is having an existential crisis (like Sterling said). This song is very impressive and seems to be composed perfectly down to the different voices and the effect on the voices. Most people wouldn't even dare to try and make an experimental song as much as this. I don't think most people would be able to achieve the best swap in the middle and the different voices with the reverb and distortion on them.
