Community Service Form
Students are required to complete 30 hours of community service by the time they graduate from KHS. Community service can be any local or national act of service that you are not receiving a payment for. You can volunteer at a local animal shelter, help with a fundraiser, volunteer as a coach or camp counselor and so much more! Stop by the counseling office for a list of local organizations where you can complete community service hours. Contact your counselor if you have questions or are wondering what counts for community service.
Click the "Community Service Form" icon to the left to download the form, fill it out, and return it to Mrs. Wiewel (lwiewel@rsu21.net) in the counseling office to record your hours.
Some ideas for community service:
Make sure to check the Community Service Board across from the counseling office entrance and the Daily Bulletin on PowerSchool for opportunities that periodically present themselves throughout the school year.
Ask a neighbor if they would like help with cleaning up their yard for the fall/spring.
Join the Interact Club or offer to help out during one of their many community based projects.
Ask a teacher if they need help with anything
Be a department aide for a teacher for a full semester
Ask Terri Baird if she needs help cleaning up the cafeteria after lunches.
See Kristen Parker in Athletics (event/game day help)
Connect with your class advisor to get involved in your graduating class' fundraiser events
