Powerserve is a one-day event every spring where volunteers serve Windham area organizations and individuals who need assistance by performing various tasks from painting, yard work, and repairs. Powerserve began in 2016 in honor of WHS sophomore, Shane Donnelly who tragically died in 20015.

Did you know that approximately 100 people attend a free community meal in Windham every Thursday?
The event is organized by Wayside Soup Kitchen and hosted by multiple faith organizations where people of all ages and beliefs enjoy this free social event and meal once a week. Most people attend for the social connection.

Partners for World Health's mission is to improve health care and reduce environmental impact by collecting surplus medical equipment and supplies and distributing them to communities in need globally and locally. Based out of Portland.

PRLT is a community based nonprofit serving Gorham, Gray, Standish, Westbrook, and Windham. The organization holds conserved lands with free public access preserves that include trails and water access. They are the water stewards of the Presumpscot River watershed and we coordinate the Sebago to the Sea Trail, a 28-mile trail from Standish to Portland.

Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad's The Polar Express® is primarily powered by volunteers. For most of the 30-year history, Maine Narrow Gauge has relied on volunteers from all walks of life to preserve, maintain, and operate their equipment and welcome guests.

Polar Express begins November 23rd and continues into December.

The Windham Veteran's Center organizes a one day event (usually held on a Saturday in late November or early December) where they make wreaths, bows and place the finished wreaths on the headstones of those who have served our country.

The G.E.A.R Parent Network is planning to offer three community information sessions from 6-8 PM at the Windham Public Library and are looking to provide childcare. The dates for these sessions are September 24th, February 6th, and May 20th.
The Windham PTA needs a few volunteers to help with concessions at several Mainers games. Responsibilities would include taking orders and distributing food. The dates for these games are October 27 (3 PM), January 11 (6 PM), March 7 (7 PM), and April 13 (3 PM).
They will also need volunteers for Windham Primary's Fall Festival on November 2nd from 1-4 PM.
