What do we do in Library/Technology Class in grades 4 and 5?
We learn about books.
We continue to learn to search for fiction and non-fiction books using Destiny Discover and then locate them on the shelves in the library .
We learn how to access reviews of books before we borrow using Goodreads and other sources.
We learn to place holds on books, create collections and wish lists, and write lively and concise digital reviews of the books we have read.
We continue to learn about authors, series, collections, and genres of books. we develop strong preferences for certain genres and know how to locate books we will like.
We explore non-fiction topics using biographies, historical fiction, as well as non-fiction books.
