Intensive coaching and mentoring is one of the greatest benefit of the consortium. Our School Counselor Interns and Supervisors have the unique opportunity to actively work together and engage in high-quality professional development to continue to grow their school counseling knowledge and skills through relevant, hands-on experiences. Our consortium has a a strong network of school counselors dedicated to helping students, mentoring future school counselors, and advocating for the school counseling profession.
Hello, and welcome to my school counseling world! My name is Steve Harris and I have been a school counselor for over ten years. Before I became a school counselor I spent many years in the business world. It was my time in the business world that helped me discover my true calling and that is helping young people, especially adolescents. Over the years as a school counselor, I have discovered a new passion, supervising school counseling interns. It is my belief that since we play such an important role in the lives of children we should be given the best experience in our internships so the passion becomes a fire in all of us.
Being from Arizona I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Arizona State University (go Sun Devils!!) and my Master of Science Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling from U.W. Whitewater (go Warhawks!!).
I am the father of an amazing son who is in college and one lazy cat that likes to hide all the time. I absolutely love all things Disney and love watching Hallmark movies with my wonderful wife Amy. And I truly enjoy going on mini weekend adventures that usually start with a latte and end with food somewhere we have never been before. Thank you for stepping into my world.
My name is Maddie Schulz, and I am the Elementary School Counselor in the Randolph School District. I received my BA in Human Development and Family Studies from UW-Madison and my Master’s in School Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin. This will be my 8th year as a school counselor, and I have spent them all in Randolph! I fully enjoy working with students and strive to make school a safe and fun environment for everyone.
When I am not at school, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and our three sons. We like to cheer on Wisconsin sports teams and stay active with our families and friends.

I am the Middle School Counselor in Pardeeville. Our middle school is 5th through 8th grade. I teach 5th and 6th grade "Guidance" classes every day. I am passionate about helping students identify emotions in themselves and others and learn and practice coping skills. I love building relationships with all students in order to help them talk about feelings and in turn normalize taking care of our mental health and erase stigma around mental health. I am also a student council co-advisor and advisor of Builder's Club.
