As a recipient of the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant from the Department of Education, the goal of the Wisconsin Well Be's Consortium is to increase the amount of highly-qualified school counselors in high-need schools, particularly rural schools. To increase the pipeline of school-based mental health professionals our program offers two sustainable soultions: 1) Incentivize school counselor internship by providing pay, benefits, professional development and coaching. 2) Create Education and Human Service programs in district high schools to get students interested in school-based mental health careers at the secondary level. These programs will provide post secondary debt reduction by offering free dual credit EDU and HS courses.
We are partnering with the following institutions of high education:
Mount Mary University
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
Univserity of Wisconsin Whitewater
Winona State University
