2017 Hall of Fame Inductees

Lindsay Allmann - Class of 2005

A standout volleyball player for the Lady Falcons, Lindsay Allman, class of 2005 graduate, made her mark setting high school records. After leaving Summit, Allman attended college at the University of Maine with a Bachelor’s of Science in mass communications. It was there that she was named an All-American East first team selection and helped her team make the playoffs. She finished sixth overall in conference in kills and was named All Rookie in 2005. Upon graduation, Lindsay accepted the position of assistant volleyball coach at Southern Miss University. It was from there that Lindsay continued her volleyball career and became an assistant coach at Bradley University for four years and then in February of 2016, she accepted an offer as assistant coach at Wake Forest. Near the end of the season, she was appointed interim head coach where she coached two players to the All ACC Freshman Team. By the end of the season, Lindsay had her eyes on the head coaching position at Indiana State University and was offered the position this year. As a high school member of the Lady Falcons, Lindsay earned MVP honors all four years as well as being named an All District player.

Amanda Kadlec - Class of 1998

A 1998 graduate of Rockwood Summit, Amanda Kadlec was the first Summit student to enroll in two foreign languages at the school. This, however, was only the beginning. After graduating in 1998, Amanda enrolled at St. Louis University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in finance. Then, for her graduate work, she attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. majoring in International Affairs and U.S. Foreign Policy. Currently, Amanda works for the Rand Corporation serving as a policy analyst. She spent five years studying Arabic and conduction research in Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, and Kuwait from 2008-2013. As a part of her graduate work, she led independent research on youth political opinion in Kuwait as a Fulbright Fellow, and in Libya to assess the post-Gaddafi transition. Amanda speaks advanced Arabic and Spanish and has conducted research in Counterterrorism, Global Security, International Diplomacy, International Organizations, Libya, North Africa and the Persian Gulf Region. Amanda is a published writer and has been interviewed by BBC and CNN detailing events in Libya.

David Schmoll - Class of 2007

David Schmoll graduated from Rockwood Summit in 2007. Little was it known to him his senior year that taste for Radio Production would lead him to where he is today. David, a member of the marching band, served as a drum major both his junior and senior year. He also was a member of the JV baseball team. His desire for music lead him to become a member of the Summit radio station staff. It was here that he developed a passion for broadcasting. Upon graduation, David was invited to attend Murray State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and creative writing. While attending Murray State, David became involved in broadcasting once again his senior year. The time, with radio station WKMS where he wrote the daily newscasts. David then moved to Indianapolis after graduating where he works as a media relations intern. It was there where David’s career started to change. David wrote press releases and covered feature stories for the Indian Ice minor league hockey team’s website. When a position opened for the Mississippi RiverKings minor league hockey team as a Media Relations Coordinator, David jumped at the chance. He began writing promotional material and designing graphics for local newspapers and television stations. He quickly got the chance to host the play-by-play radio broadcasts of the team and eventually took over the marketing of the team. By 2014, David was promoted to Director of Business Operation of the Mississippi RiverKings, and by August of 2016, was promoted to General Manager of the team. In his spare time, David volunteers as a youth baseball coach and is a member of the Horn Lake Chamber of Commerce.
