2016 Hall of Fame Inductees

Kurtis Hall - Class of 1999

With a special knack for the eye of a camera, Kurtis Hall has risen to become of of the most successful professional photographers in St. Louis. After a brief stint with the U.S. Navy, Kurtis started to return to what he loved to do, photography. In the early 2000's, Kurtis started to photograph high school sports in the area. It was here where is work was getting notice as he was offered photography jobs for various ad campaigns including Budweiser, Got Milk, the St. Louis Rams, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He then started working as a wedding photographer and in 2011 opened his own studio and became one of the most sought after wedding photographers in the St. Louis area.

During this time, Kurtis also served on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Professional Photographers Association. He has earned many first and second place awards for his wedding portraits and was listed in the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in Missouri dating from 2008 to the present. His most recent call to fame came as he was recently hired as the Chief Photographer for the Build A Bear world headquarters, a St. Louis company with locations in the United States, Europe, and now China.

Hall graduated from Rockwood Summit in 1999 and was the photo editor of the Pinnacle yearbook. As a student on the yearbook staff, Kurtis earned several national first place photography awards from the National Scholastic Press Association, Quill & Scroll, and the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association.

Sarah (Moore) Pitt - Class of 2006

Sarah Moore Pitt graduated in 2006 and was an active member in the Summit Journalism program. As a senior Sarah was the Editor-in-Chief of the Talon newspaper, the first station manager of the school radio station, president of the Quill & Scroll Society, and a member of the Pinnacle Yearbook staff. An ambitious student, Sarah was also a member of the National Honor Society and the Senior Committee. She was also involved in Chamber Choir and was a varsity hockey cheerleader.

After graduation, Sarah enrolled at Truman University, where she received a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism. She became Publicity Director for Detours Magazine and later the News Director for News 36, the campus television station. Her senior year, she became a teaching assistant for the broadcast productiona classes. She also earned Lambda Pi Eta for the Communication Honor Society.

After college, Sarah began working for the Webster Groves Business Development Commission where she was elected President. Using her degree she worked to promote the interest of business and coordinate promotional events in the area. Currently, Sarah is the Project Manager of Book Production with Graphic World, Inc. She oversees book production and develops online educational content and test assessment materials. Sarah has also received her Masters Degree in Fine Arts for Creative Writing and Poetry from the University of Missouri - St. Louis.

Lindsey Weber - Class of 2004

Lindsey Weber is the Public Relations Video Communications Production Coordinator for the St. Louis Cardinals. She is also the host and producer for the Cardinals' weekly television magazine Cardinals Insider. In addition to her work with the TV program, Lindsey also worked with the team's daily business, including press releases, social media, facilitating media requests, as well as working with the team's charitable foundation Cardinals Care.

Before working with the Cardinals, Lindsey was a member of the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter working in the marketing and Communications department. It was here that Lindsey launched a social media initiative with video, blogging, and social networking. During her time with the Red Cross, Lindsey increased blog readership by 128 percent in one month which garnered a front page story in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Lindsey also worked with the audio-visual crew at St. Louis University's Chaifetz Area and served was an intern with Fox Sports Midwest.

Lindsey attended Stephens College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Media with an emphasis in Broadcasting. She made the Dean's List and graduated summa cum laude. She hosted a weekly radio show on KWWC and was a morning show correspondent on KFRU radio. Lindsey also received the Stephens College Sara Ann Fay Broadcasting Award.

Lindsey graduated from Summit in 2004 in the top five percent of her class. She was a member of Drama Club and Student Council serving as president of both clubs her senior year. Lindsey was also a member of NHS, a Thespian, and was in the first broadcasting class.
