fULL DAY pd 2020-21


Beginning in the 2020-21 school year, Rockwood schools will close for Full Day Professional Learning to replace the Early Release days from the past. This option allows teachers to collaborate across buildings and grade levels while reducing disruption to instructional time.

The following dates are reserved for professional learning:

  • Tuesday, September 8 (This date is the Curriculum Training that has been traditionally scheduled prior to the start of the school year.

  • Monday, October 5

  • Monday, November 2

  • Friday, February 12

  • Monday, April 5

Teachers will follow a schedule that includes a combination of time devoted to learning in strands connected to The Way Forward, building time, and curriculum time. See schedules below for more information for each grade level.

Teachers will sign up for the sessions in Solutionwhere​ January 25-29 for second semester strands. Registration will close as of 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1.
