About Me

My real name is Elissa Brueggemann, and because of that, friends nicknamed me "Eli" in high school & it stuck! I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Northeast Missouri State University in 1995. I realize it is now Truman State University, but it will always be NMSU to me! I have worked many aspects of the nursing field from Pediatrics to Orthopedics, as well as home health care and pharmaceutical sales. I finally found my passion in school nursing in 2012. I am absolutely thrilled to be a school nurse in the Rockwood community. I, personally, feel there is no more important job in the world than caring for children and educating them about their health.

Healthy habits and attitudes are formed in childhood and they last a lifetime.

If I can impact the life of just one child, I will feel I have accomplished something worthwhile in my life.
