Outstanding Wonder Week Presentations!
What are Wonder Week presentations?
As an assignment in 8th-grade ELA students get to choose a topic they know nothing about and have one week to research and create a presentation informing students about their topic. As an example, as you can see below, Jack Marcum did a presentation on animals' hearing abilities.
Jack's presentation is about animals and their ability to hear, as you can see above. In an interview Jack talks about dogs inspiring him by barking at "silence" and Jack always wondered why he couldn't hear what dogs hear. Check out Jack's presentation above!
Caroline Jennings
Her presentation was about color blindness and how it impacts people's everyday lives. In an interview, she stated, "It piqued my interest and I just wanted to know more about how it all works." While she was working on her project, she learned more about how people who are colorblind perceive things and how they go about their everyday lives without letting colorblindness affect them too much. If you would like to learn more about colorblindness, check out the website below!
