Step One: Preperation!
You'll need:
Paper (duh!)
Scissors
Hands
Grab a piece of paper of any color and cut a strip about one centimeter thick lengthwise, like the picture! DON'T cut along the ruled lines if you're using notebook paper, it just won't turn out right.
Like this!
Step Two: Knot
Take one end of your paper and fold it at an angle with a bit of slack, you'll be able to make a flat knot! This parts a little tricky, it doesn't work every time so be patient.
Make sure to tug at the short end lightly so it becomes a Pentagon!
Step Three: Folding
Fold your paper multiple times over the flat parts of the (now) pentagon. Make sure to go over all of the sides multiple times!
Step Four: Finish Folding
After you almost run out of paper, tuck it under a cross of paper on the last wrap, it should slide right under!
Step Five: Pinching (final step!)
Finally hold your pentagon up and pinch in the flat sides until it looks like (you guessed it) a star!
There you go! A paper star, you could make a garland, a wreath, maybe even just an army! Here are some ideas:
