Activity 2

Bow Hold Challenge

Find a pencil and a mirror. Form your bow hold using your right hand. Use the mirror to make sure your bow hold has the following things:

• Middle fingers that flop over (the bunny's teeth)
• An index finger that leans (the bunny's lazy ear)
• A curved pinky that touches on its tip (the bunny's listening ear)
• A curved thumb that touches on its tip (the bunny's chin)

STR.I.N.G.O.

See how many squares of the STR.I.N.G.O. board you can finish over the week!

Try to get 5 in a row (up & down, left & right, or diagonal) or "blackout" the board by completing every square.

Violin Parts Review

1. Find a blank piece of paper and pencil.

2. Draw a big violin on the paper. Try your best to copy the picture of a violin below.

3. Label as many parts of the violin as you can remember on your picture using these words:

• Scroll
• Neck
• Pegs
• Fine Tuners
• F Shaped Holes
• Chin rest
• "The Moon" and "The Beach"
• Strings
• Bridge
• Fingerboard
• Tailpiece
