Physical education includes psychomotor, cognitive and affective experiences to promote student development. Our physical education team provides a safe, supportive environment where there are meaningful activities for all students. The outcomes include lifetime skills, literacy and ability to plan for physical activity and wellness. Connecticut utilizes the Healthy and Balanced Living Curriculum Framework as a guide for local curriculum. In conjunction with our comprehensive health curriculum, students learn how to live an active and healthy life. The RSD17 PE Curriculum is in the process of being revised to align with the new frameworks.
