UW-Whitewater Opening Horizons
The Center for Students with Disabilities at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is hosting the Annual Opening Horizons conference in the beginning of May each year. No date has been set for 2018 school year yet.
I’ve contacted you as an education leader in your community, and am hopeful that you would be willing to pass this information along within your district. Please forward this invitation to any appropriate staff members or families in your community who might be interested in this opportunity.
This conference is an excellent free opportunity for students with disabilities to learn about the transition to post-secondary education. At Opening Horizons, students, family members, special education teachers, transition coordinators, and other participants will take an in depth look at the transition to college and learn about disability services in a college or university setting.
