Course Description:  This course will focus on the development of student’s understanding of the American government and what it means to be an effective citizen. Students will study the foundations of democracy, rights and citizenship, civic engagement, etc. Major emphasis will include studying famous American historical documents, federal, state, and local governments, as well as the voting and law-making process.
