Student Chromebook Use Agreements and Guidelines
- Each student is assigned a specific Chromebook number. This number will likely be different for each class so please remember your number in each class. If your schedule changes, your Chromebook number will likely change.
- Students will use ONLY the Chromebook assigned to them. Do not "borrow" another student's Chromebook and do not let any other student borrow yours.
- Chromebooks are for academic purposes only. Stay on task and visit only the websites your teacher asks you to use.
- When putting Chromebooks away, place them in the correct numbered slot and plug in using the corresponding colored charger.
- DO NOT remove your assigned Chromebook from the classroom without permission.
- Report any damage (missing keys, cracked screens, or other problems to the teacher immediately!
- Do not touch anyone else's Chromebook without permission from the teacher. Turning someone's Chromebook off or on as a joke will not be tolerated.
- Be a good digital citizen: do not post anything you wouldn't want your parents or grandparents to see or read. Cyber-bullying is a crime that can be prosecuted and remain on your permanent record. This includes Word or Google docs (even if you think nobody will see them).
Caring for your Chromebook:
- Carry the Chromebook with TWO hands.
- Place Chromebooks flat on the table. Do not use books or other items to "prop up" the Chromebook and do not place the Chromebook in your lap.
- Be gentle with the Chromebooks. Being aggressive with the keyboards or screens will not be tolerated.
- NO food or drinks around Chromebooks (not even water).
- If your Chromebook gets dirty please bring it to me for cleaning.
