As you review this list, it may strike you that there aren't many players on it who played in the 1970s. The reason for that is in the earlier part of that decade, we didn't play all that many games in a season. Towards the end of that decade and into the mid-1980s, teams reached as many as 20-22 games in a season. Starting in the 1987 season, the OHSAA decided that teams would have a 16-game regular season, and then as many playoff games as they earned. After this most recent season, we welcomed two new members to the 50+ Games Played Club - Chris Fry and Chase DeClerck.
