Week 1: 1/6- 1/12

Mechanical

Mechanical worked on taking apart our old robots for parts. Mechanical team has also started putting this years drive train together.

Shop

Shop is currently working on multiple different projects. This year we will have a proper robot cart! The team is currently working on building drawers, allowing us to easily grab our tools for quick fixes. Shop team has also made a mock Power Port.

Programming

Programming has spent the whole week testing our color sensor so we can easily recognize the Control Panel on the field.

Electrical

The electrical team has worked on replacing wires and sorting out new wires for the new drive train (and fixing our clock.)

Marketing

Throughout the week, marketing has been sketching this seasons shirt design and updating the website. During downtime, marketing has been helping the mechanical team put our drive base together.

Week 2: 1/13- 1/18

Mechanical

Mechanical finished the drive base! They are now working on the intake roller. The roller will allow us to easily take in a max of three balls.

Shop

While part of shop team works on our cart, other members are prototyping our final design. Shop team has also started sketching out the roulette design.

Programming

Programming has finished our color sensor. They are now working on coding for the main drive controls.

Electrical

Electrical team wired our robot from last year to our shooter for this year for testing. Electrical has also started to map out this years electrical layout.

Marketing

Marketing team continues to work on this years shirt design and updating our page.

Week 3: 1/21- 1/25

Mechanical

Mechanical worked on prototyping and testing the new drive base. Mechanical has also done the math for the correct angle for our shooter.

Shop

Shop spent the week cleaning up the lab. Shop team has also worked on finishing the field elements and robot cart.

Electrical

Electrical team started wiring the new drive base.

Week 4: 1/27- 2/1

Mechanical

Mechanical spent the week combining the intake, the shooter, and the control panel spinner. They are now finishing up the main system and are preparing the base for attachment.

Shop

Shop team has been fabrication pieces for testing on our robot. They have also been working on the robot cart.

Programming

Programming has been programming mechanisms and working on revising our driving code.

Electrical

Electrical team started the layout for this years electrical board. Electrical has also started wiring our intake mechanism.

Marketing

Marketing team continues to work on this years shirt design and updating our page.

Week 5: 2/3-2/8

Mechanical

Mechanical added the chain belt for the convener. They also added a hex shaft to the middle of the convener system to keep tension on the power cells. Mechanical team also changed out our motors for stronger ones.

Shop

Shop team added handles to the drawers and are continuing on working on the cart. Most of shop team has been helping out the mechanical team.

Marketing

Marketing team has been maintain the web page and finalizing this years apparel design.

Week 6: 2/10-2/15

Mechanical

Mechanical team finished the robot! Mechanical has successfully attached the shooter and control panel spinner.

Shop

Shop team continues to work on the robot cart. Shop team has also cut the wood backing for the electronics board.

Week 7: 2/18 - 2/22

Testing/ Drive Team

With the robot finished and wired up, the drive team is getting assembled! Our drivers are starting to get familiar with how the robot moves and how to max out points for competition. Due to our efficient work, the RoboPirates won't need to meet up as frequently. Marketing team will continue to update this page as frequently as possible.
