Hello Ybarra Academy Students and Families!

My name is Heidi Choi and I am the 7th & 8th grade Counselor. This is my 5th year at Ybarra Academy and I feel so honored that I get to serve all of you. Middle school years can be quite challenging for students (and parents) and I am here to help them navigate through those challenges. My role as a School Counselor is to help students succeed in the following domains: academic, personal/social development, and college and career exploration. I look forward to getting to know each of you and having an amazing school year!

Google Classroom:

It is important that all students join my Google Classroom! This is where I will be posting important announcements relevant to each grade level. For 7th graders, in the spring, I post the elective form, due dates, and reminders. For our 8th graders, I post information regarding high school registration and when our high school counselors will be coming to register students for their classes for next Fall. If you would like to meet with me, please fill out a blank counseling slip in the holding compartment of the locked box on my door and then drop it into the box. You may also fill out the following Counseling Request Form and I will reach out to you as soon as I can: Counseling Request Form .
