Peter F. Jacoy Jr., MAED Business Department Rowland Hills High School
Hi, I’m Peter Jacoy, and I’m excited to be starting my fifth year teaching at Rowland Hills High School! I teach accounting and business classes, and I also serve as the advisor for our school’s FBLA chapter. I recently earned my Master’s degree in Educational Technology, which has given me a whole new set of tools and ideas to bring into the classroom.
Teaching wasn’t my first career, but it’s definitely my favorite. I love helping students figure out what they’re passionate about and showing them how business and technology can open up real opportunities. Watching students grow—whether it’s mastering a tough concept or stepping up as a leader in FBLA—reminds me every day why I made the switch to education.
Outside of school, I’m all about family. When I’m not lesson planning or grading, you’ll probably find me spending time with my growing family (wedding bells are ringing) or spending time painting, my favorite way to relax and recharge. I’m always looking for new ways to connect what we learn in class to the real world, and I’m excited for another year of learning and growing together
