Dear Parents,

We are currently working on our “Earth’s Forces” unit for Science. We are studying volcanoes, earthquakes, and landslides.

One of our more exciting activities is the Volcano Eruption Day. Each student is expected to create a volcano at home and bring it to school to erupt for the rest of the class on Volcano Day! DO NOT PANIC. I am including some links for websites that offer guidance and help in creating a volcano. This does not need to be an expensive, time-consuming project. A volcano can easily be made with items kept around the house.

Volcanoes will be due on Thursday, March 12, 2020.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to come watch your child erupt his/her volcano. Eruption day will be on Friday, March 13th. Please look for information from your child’s teacher regarding time and place. Please email me with any questions.
