ACC Application and Enrollment Process

STEP 1: Determine College Readiness 

TSIA is the standard college readiness exam ACC uses for students to determine college readiness to start taking ACC classes.  Here are the other ways a student can demonstrate college readiness to start taking ACC courses while in High School: 

• SAT: 480 English/530 math

• ACT: 23 composite/19 English/19 math

• TSIA2: ELAR - 945 and an Essay of 5 or more or less than 945 and a Diagnostic Level of 5 or more and an Essay of 5 or more / Math - 950 or less than 950 and a Diagnostic Level of 6.

Students taking English or Social Studies courses are required to meet TSI in English; Math, science, and economics require math TSI

If you've met TSI with one of the above, take a screenshot of your student Collegeboard or ACT account showing your scores - you will submit these to the google form during the final step.

If you have not proven college readiness using any of the scores below, students must take the TSI Assessment. See instructions below for TSI testing.

STEP 2: Application 

Complete the Dual Credit application: austincc.edu/admissions 

1. Set up an application account - click First Time Users Click Here; Do not use your RRISD email address, as this could cause technical difficulties with ACC's application system.

2. Locate the Dual Credit box and click Apply Now to complete your application (When asked for "Area of Study," this is what your intended college major.)

3. Wait 24 hours

4. Claim your ACCeID - follow instructions for First-time users

5. Activate your ACC email - follow Activation instructions ***

STEP 3: Orientation 

Complete the ACC High School Programs Orientation - take a screenshot of your completion certificate.

Failure to complete the orientation and the required assessment quiz will result in a registration hold!

STEP 4: Contracts 

From each form below, click the link, then download.  You will save each form to your computer later for submission.

Complete the RRISD Contract

STEP 5: Meet with your Counselor and Submit your Dual Credit Paperwork 

Please meet with your Counselor to fill out the SPHS ACC Dual Credit Google Form. You will need the following documents to upload:

• ACCeID# & ACC email address

• Screenshot of your ACC High School Programs Orientation assessment

• RRISD Contract

• Proof of College Readiness (SAT, ACT, TSIA2)
