Please try to make an effort to be at every class so you don't get behind in our learning. Thank you.
Here are the Instrument Ensemble expectations:
*Students do not need an ukulele at home to practice on. Unfortunately, we will need all the ukuleles at school for normal music classes, so there won't be any available to take home from Deep Wood. This is why I am not asking students to practice at home. Fifth grade students who are playing recorders on songs will already have those and are encouraged to practice at home.
*All members need to make after school arrangements (car rides, walking, day care, YMCA) prior to class day. Due to safety, younger siblings will not be allowed to wait on older siblings during classes. Students may finish safety patrol duty before coming to class.
*Students are expected to attend all classes unless they are absent from school that day.
*Appropriate school behavior is expected from all student participants. Parents will be notified if the student's behavior is disrupting our valuable learning time. If the behavior does not improve after parent notification, the student might not be allowed to continue as a member of the ensemble.
