library leaders

Are you a 3rd-5th grader who likes to be a classroom helper? Then you might be a candidate to be a Library Leader! Interested students will be trained to:

• navigate to the Library Catalog on the computer;

• look up and find materials efficiently on the shelves;

• help shelve books;  and

• discuss book recommendations for the library, based on their reading experience, professional book reviews, and peer communication.

Once you are trained, you may offer services to your classmates during your library visits, if you wish.

Library Leaders will meet on Tuesday afternoons during the school year for training, and activities.  Be on the lookout for parent permission signup information.
