Illness
When your student is ill, please contact the school (via email or phone) to let us know he or she will not be attending school that day
Per the RRISD Student Handbook, state rules require students with certain illnesses to stay home from school - for example...
If a student has a fever over 100°, he or she must stay out of school until they are fever free for 24 hours without use of fever reducing medications
If a student has a diarrheal illness, he or she must stay home until they are diarrhea free for 24 hours without the use of suppressing medications
All students diagnosed with Covid-19 need to be reported to the school nurse for further instructions
If a student becomes ill during school and needs to be sent home, the school nurse will contact the parent/guardian
The school nurse is always available to answer questions/concerns about illnesses
