Welcome to Second Grade!
Hello! My name is Valerie Rollans, and I am thrilled to welcome you and your child to second grade!
I am originally from San Antonio, but I’ve called the Pflugerville area home for the past 24 years. I hold a Master of Science in Educational Technology from the University of North Texas. For the last 17 years, I have worked in professional development, and I’m excited to bring my passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) into our classroom. This is my second year teaching second grade, and I am eager to create an engaging and impactful learning experience for your child.

Everyone has tough days now and then! If your child happens to wake up "on the wrong side of the bed," feel free to email me so I can provide them with a little extra support during the school day. No explanation is necessary—I’m here to help!

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time reading and cooking. These hobbies keep me inspired and help me recharge so I can give my best to the classroom.
