Welcome to 2nd Grade!

Hi families! My name is Mrs. Nonde, and I’m excited to begin my fourth year teaching second grade at Elsa England I have a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, and before becoming a teacher, I had the privilege of working in the nonprofit field supporting children and families.

In our classroom, creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment is a top priority. I believe every child should feel seen, valued, and supported as they grow—academically, socially, and emotionally. Cultural competence and social-emotional learning are at the heart of our daily work, helping students build empathy, resilience, and respect for one another.

I also believe that strong partnerships with families are essential for student success. I look forward to working closely with you this year to support your child’s learning journey. Let’s make it a great year together!

Fun Facts

• I love spending time with my husband and labradoodle. 

• My favorite things to eat are sushi and ramen.

• I love plants, reading, playing tennis and cooking.
