This course is designed to give students an overview of career paths available under the education umbrella. Students will also focus on the basics of the teacher's role and the beginnings of what goes into planning a lesson. Students also participate in our Dragon Buddies program during the year.

Dragon Buddies is a program to allow students to gain experience working with elementary school teachers and students. Students are partnered together and do weekly visits to one of our feeder elementary schools.

This course is designed to teach students all aspects of human growth and development. We discuss theories and theorists, relationships/families, conception, prenatal development and what development looks like for each stage of life beginning with infants working to 66+. We discuss some sensitive topics and we do watch videos that depict different methods of childbirth.

This course is designed to give students hands-on teaching experience in either an elementary or middle school. Students in this program are student interns and visit their field-sites twice a week for 2 ½ hours at a time. Students are assigned one-on-one with a teacher.

This course is a continuation of the previous course. Students focus on honing their teaching skills by sharing their knowledge with others. Students also work on more professional development aspects of teaching.
