Welcome to Music for 2021-2022!
I'm Jeanie Hermansen, and I am the full-time music teacher at Old Town. This is my seventh year teaching at this wonderful school, my 17th year in Round Rock ISD, and my 26th year as a music educator. I love collaborating with fellow music teachers, and I am so happy that Jessi Barton is returning to Old Town as well, as our highly talented half-time music teacher.

In music class, students learn about many different styles of music from a variety of cultures and time periods. They also learn to make music themselves, and read and write music. The program is designed to prepare students for any area of music they might wish to explore in middle school and beyond.
