Parents are encouraged to access grades online via Home Access Center. Grades will be based on the combination of these 4 categories:

• 25% Daily (DAILY) – individual/group singing, individual/group skills demonstrations, binder checks, process journal entries, and contribution to the ensemble
• 25% Formative (FRMT) – homework, in-class written assignments, and repertoire preparation
• 25% Tests (TEST) – written or oral tests over concepts and/or repertoire
• 25% Performances (PRFM) – attendance and participation at concerts (see below)

Students are expected to complete all assignments by their due dates. If a student is absent, he/she will have the same number of days to complete the make-up work as the number of days he/she was absent. Late work that is not a result of student absence or that exceeds the allotted time will be docked 10 points per day for up to 5 days. Any work not received within 5 days of the due date will result in a 0.
