Vision and Mission

Grisham Middle School Counseling Department Vision:

The vision of the comprehensive school counseling program at Grisham Middle School is that all students are empowered to reach their maximum potential by addressing their academic, personal/social, and career goals. Students are encouraged to pursue personal inquiry which fosters independence, social responsibility, and academic excellence. As world class citizens, students acknowledge and value differences which enable them to build positive and meaningful relationships with diverse populations. Our vision is that students understand and embrace their own value which will encourage them to make unique contributions to their community as members of a global workforce.

Grisham Middle School Counseling Mission:

The mission of the comprehensive school counseling program at Grisham Middle School is to provide a proactive and developmentally appropriate program to address all students academic, social/emotional, and career goals. School counselors advocate for equity and access to counseling experiences that encourage critical thinking and collaboration through meaningful learning opportunities for all. Through a partnership with parents/guardians, staff, and community members, students are provided tools to become successful, productive citizens, and lifelong learners in a diverse and ever changing world. This mindset aims to develop active learners and internationally minded individuals who can empathize with others and pursue lives of purpose and meaning.
