Meet the Teacher

To TAG Parents and Students,

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for including me in the Laurel Mountain family. I am truly honored and humbled to work with the staff, administration, students, and parents at LME. This will be my tenth year teaching TAG at LME. and I do not take that for granted as I know how fortunate I truly am to have this job.

My teaching experience spans from Pre-K to 5^th grade ,teaching Talented and Gifted and traditional classes in public and private schools. I've been teaching since 1992 and love teaching more each and every year.

I have twin sons, Owen and Nate, who attended LME, Canyon Vista Middle School, and Westwood High School. They are now studying at UT Austin and Baylor Honors Program. I am a very proud mom. We have had a fun journey and I love this feeder pattern of schools.

Why do I teach Gifted and Talented Education? It has been substantiated through large amounts of research that gifted and talented students have a need to learn in a different way in order to be truly successful in learning. I believe going the extra mile for these students and meeting their needs will impact our world in a positive and substantial way. These students are world changers and I am so proud to be able to facilitate their learning along their journey. I have the greatest job in the world and love coming to work every day. I am truly blessed to call LME my home. I believe we ALL have gifts and talents
