We begin every year with an overview of the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. August/September 2016

Next, we apply those Elements and Principles into our mini-projects, sketchbook work/warm ups, and portfolio covers

Finally, students dive into our first major project: a Zentangle.

Specific grading criteria will be given to students for each project. However, as a general rule, I grade on technique/project requirements, creativity, crafstmanship, and reflection. On more detailed projects, I will take a "check point" grade, to ensure students manage time wisely and successfully finish by the project deadline.
