No auditions are needed. See your counselor for steps in adding dance to your schedule. Students will learn basic elements of dance styles and acquire the wellness information and skills to become healthy adults.

RSVP to attend our Beginning Band Instrument Placement Google Form (REQUIRED ASAP)

STEP 2:

Attend the placement drive on Saturday, Feb 5th, 2022 at Deerpark during your time slot. Try out different instruments and pick your instrument for the 2022-2023 school year!

For Percussion, auditions start in April and you can keep up with the band calendars here https://www.mcneilband.org/calendar-1

Woodwinds and Percussion will submit their auditions by TBD. They will play as many scales as they know and a prepared etude that we will release in late March. Materials will be posted at www.mcneilband.org

Orchestra

Beginning Orchestra

Students develop basic playing skills, practice habits, music reading, and listening skills, while playing violin, viola, cello or bass.

New to strings? Join us April 13th-14th (4:00-5:30pm) to try out some instruments and get sized for next year!

First year students explore elements of drama and conventions of theatre, interpret characters, voice and body expression and the relationship of theatre to history, society, and culture.
