Happy Monday!

Welcome to Cedar Ridge Choir! I hope you all had a great summer and I know I am excited about this school year. If you are not already following our instagram @cedarridgechoirs please follow us. We post information about social events, concerts, All-State rehearsals, and any other information that is valuable for everyone to see. 

I would like to let you all know that next week Thursday (9/3) at 6pm is our parent meeting in the lecture hall. This is a mandatory event, but has a virtual option as well. A link to the meeting will be sent out next week. At this meeting, we will be going over the handbook, calendar, expectations for this year, as well as discussing ways you can get involved. At the conclusion of the meeting, we will also have our first booster club meeting of the year. 

If you have some time, please check out our choir website. On the website you can find information about myself, the choir program, all of our calendars are linked as google calendars, any handouts I give will be linked there, etc.

The rest of this email is specifically for the parents of students participating in the All-State process. Students wishing to participate in the TMEA All-State process will need to submit the google form (found on the All-State section of the website) as soon as possible. All-State Sectionals begin today! Students wishing to participate in the TMEA All-State process should plan to purchase their music packets as soon as possible. I will not be purchasing those for students this year. I am providing links to two different websites to purchase the All-State packets from.

All-State Schedule:

Soprano and Alto Rehearsals - Tuesday and Thursday 4:30-5:30 weekly (some weeks we won't be able to meet on Thursdays due to Varsity Football, this week being one of those weeks)

Tenor and Bass Rehearsals - Monday and Wednesday 4:30-5:30 weekly (some weeks we won't be able to meet on Mondays due to no school)

Friday, 9/11 will be open to anyone who wants that extra help before District Auditions.

District Auditions will take place at SPHS on 9/12. If you have a school related conflict, please communicate that as soon as possible.
