Concert Treble - Non-Varsity treble (Soprano/Alto) choir for grades 9-12. This class is non-auditioned and is designed to introduce students to the formal choir art. Students will learn how to sight read, develop musicianship skills and strengthen these skills for our veteran members.
Concert Tenor/Bass - Non-Varsity Tenor/Bass choir for grades 9-12. This class is non-auditioned and is designed to introduce students to the formal choir art. Students will learn how to sight read, develop musicianship skills and strengthen these skills for our veteran members. Members of this ensemble will combine with the Tenor/Bass members of Chorale for UIL and go as a Varsity Ensemble. This ensemble does require outside of school rehearsals.
Bel Canto - Varsity treble (Soprano/Alto) choir for grades 9-12. This is an auditioned class and all participants are required to audition for the TMEA All-State Process or participate in Solo and Ensemble. This class will compete in UIL Concert and Sight-reading. Students will continue to fine tune their above level musicianship skills and vocal performances. Members of this ensemble will combine with the Treble members of Chorale for UIL and go as a Varsity Ensemble. This ensemble does require outside of school rehearsals.
Chorale - Varsity mixed choir for grades 10-12. This is an auditioned class and all participants are required to audition for the TMEA All-State Process and encouraged to participate in Solo and Ensemble. This class will compete in UIL Concert and Sight-reading. Students will continue to fine tune their advanced musicianship skills and vocal performances. This ensemble does require outside of school rehearsals.
Headliners - Mixed Show Choir. This group is the face of the Cedar Ridge Choir program and Cedar Ridge High School. We are looking for energetic, dedicated choir students (grades 10-12) to be a part of this tight knit family.
